Founding Software Engineer
Build the core platform — EHR integrations (starting with athenahealth), prior auth submission workflows, payer connectivity, and compliance-ready architecture. No inherited tech stack. All architecture decisions start with you.
Founding AI Wrangler
Build the AI/ML systems that extract clinical data, match patient records to payer criteria, and generate clinical justification narratives. Know when not to use AI — a model that's right 92% of the time is not a product in healthcare.
Founding Forward Deployed Engineer
Go into real clinic environments to get Artificer connected and working. Live debugging, staff training, implementation playbooks. You're the bridge between our engineering team and the messy reality of a medical practice.
Founding Clinical Reviewer
The clinical brain of the company. Review PA submissions for accuracy, maintain payer-specific knowledge profiles, own appeals strategy, and feed your expertise directly into the automation. You teach the machine.
Founding Sales/Solutions Engineer
Own the entire early sales motion from scratch — outbound, demos, consultative selling to medical practices, and pilot onboarding. No BDR team, no inbound queue. You build the pipeline solo and earn trust from practices burned by prior vendors.
Founding Support/Success Engineer
Own the full relationship with every pilot clinic. Inbound support, proactive check-ins, technical triage, onboarding, and product feedback loop. Your name stays on it — not until it's escalated, until it's resolved.
The Marketing Misfit
Sole marketer. Positioning, messaging, website (Astro/React/Tailwind), content that speaks to practice staff, LinkedIn presence, conference strategy. You should be comfortable in a codebase and allergic to thought leadership for its own sake.
Founding Semi-Feral Compliance Dork
Build the entire compliance program from scratch. HIPAA/HITECH end-to-end, SOC 2 Type 2 readiness, HITRUST path, multi-state privacy law. Work with engineering as a partner, not a blocker. We will not change your title for client calls.
Chaos Architect
The operational backbone. Finance/runway, people ops, legal coordination, vendor management, everything that makes a startup function as a real company. If the founder got sick for a week, nothing should break.
